Elegancia Entertainment, Inc. was founded to provide high quality professional music entertainment for private, public,and corporate events. We believe that through innovation, high standards, and focussing on our client’s needs our goal of creating memorable, fun filled events will be achieved. In addition, as implied by our name, we specialize in creating events that combine elegance and class with a festive atmosphere.
The PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE
Elegancia Entertainment was founded in 1987 by Jose Gonzalez while he was still in high school. By the time he entered college, he had already met Lucy (his wife), and had already begun providing music for a wide variety of events. Lucy was a natural partner right from the beginning. Her love for and knowledge of Latin Music surprised even Jose. The two of them married in 1990 and since then they have performed as a husband and wife team.

In January 1998, Elegancia Entertainment was selected MOBILE DJ of the MONTH by the international magazine for professional DJs ``DJ TIMES". This prestigious honor places him among the top entertainers world wide. In 1998 Jose was also interviewed by several newspapers including Newsday and El Diario. Many wanted to know the secret to this successful company. But if you ask Jose or Lucy.. what is the secret to Elegancia’s success. He smiles and say “Its common sense. Be honest, fair, and helpful. Don’t promise something if you can’t provide it. Too many DJ companies think that having 15 or 20 DJs makes them the best. We want quality and it is very difficult to find DJs that are excellent... they may be good.. but being just good is not enough at Elegancia. We want the best” Lucy replies “ We are not trying to be the biggest... we simply want to provide excellent service and entertainment.”

Elegancia Entertainment has become a well known and respected company within the wedding industry and they continue to set standards of excellence others follow. DJs and bands that for Elegancia Entertainment must conform to and maintain a very high standard of quality, service and professionalism. Ongoing training insures the entire organization continues to provide a service that exceeds our client's expectations.
Elegancia Entertainment continues to expand. In the year 2000, Elegancia became fully incorporated and opened a new facility in Brooklyn. “We are very excited” says Lucy, “In this new space we will be able to provide better service than we could before. Our new Wedding Accessory store will allow us to provide our clients with hard to find and unique items for their wedding or special events.”
Because of their true commitment to clients, unsurpassed professionalism and delivering onevery promise, it is not uncommon for people to book their services up to 2 years in advance!
